Zazie O. Beetz was conceived in Berlin on November 21 1991. Born in Berlin, Germany. She has a mother who is a South African-American social worker from New York. Jennifer Aniston is also a former student of the same high school. Beetz was a graduate of LaGuardia in 2007, was a student at Skidmore College and studied French. Following graduation from Skidmore College, Beetz immediately began auditioning and was offered the part as Van on the set of Atlanta. She was born in Berlin to a German father and an African-American mother, Beetz was born on the streets of New York speaking both German as well as English in the her home. Zazie has performed in theaters in the community and on stage in New york since her childhood. Zazie discovered that she loved acting when she was in school. The actress's Disney Channel Breakout Role Zendaya's dance skills definitely paid off. Her casting was finalized for her breakthrough role as Rocky Blue, along with co-star Bella Thorne, on the popular series Shake It Up. Zendaya went vegetarian at the age of 11, after passing an animal slaughterhouse with her father on a roadtrip. PEOPLE quotes her as saying, "It was horrible to witness all the animals awaiting slaughter inside that slaughterhouse." It was shocking to think that's the way I'd gotten my meat!" Since then, she's maintained a vegetarian lifestyle.
