Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th of November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej (now Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to receive a score of a perfect of 10 during the Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics teacher who later became Comaneci's coach and first became aware of Comaneci aged six. Comaneci was the first to compete for time in the 1969 national junior championships, placing 13th. Following that, she was crowned champion. In 1972, at an event for communist-controlled countries' junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she was awarded three gold medals. After that, in 1973 and 1974, she became the junior champion in all aspects. In her first international competition as a senior athlete in the year 1975, she bested the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva the five-time European champion, winning 4 gold and one silver medal. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first woman to perform a reverse double salto, which is dismounting from the uneven bars that are parallel. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The journey of Carol Wayne in the world of entertainment started as a teenager. With her twin sister Nina Wayne, she joined the traveling entertainment show known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. Carol entered the entertainment industry in her teens. In her early years Carol was an ice figure skater on the show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. It featured dramatic ice-skating shows.
